The hike starts in Pontresina. The idyllic trail leads via Muragls along the Flaz river to Bever railway station. Experience part of the famous water trail and be surprised by the information boards at every bench and every bridge with digital information. From Bever, we recommend that you take the train to Zuoz (departures always at xx.16 - e.g. 13.16, 14.16 etc. as well as 15:01 and 15:47).
- Please let the Hotel Castell know your arrival time at the railway station so that the hotel bus can pick you up: Tel: 081-851 52 53.
ALTERNATIVE hike for nature lovers: Val Roseg
The starting point of the hike is Pontresina railway station. From there, the winter hiking trail leads into the car-free Val Roseg. With a bit of luck, a deer or chamois will scurry across the path before your eyes. The end of the hike is the cosy Roseg Glacier restaurant. Fancy a dessert? The restaurant is known far and wide for its gourmet buffet. For the return to Pontresina, you can book a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride back to Pontresina railway station if you wish. ATTENTION: Please make sure you book the horse-drawn sleigh ride when you check in at the Hotel Walther! Of course you can also hike back, in which case you will have to reckon with double the time and distance.

Day 4

You start your journey at the Hotel Castell in Zouz, walk downhill to Madulain and continue straight on towards Bever, all along the right-hand side of the Inn. The leisurely winter hiking trail runs parallel and partly together with the cross-country ski trail via Samedan to the village of Celerina and the Cresta Palace Hotel.
ALTERNATIVE hike for nature lovers: Zuoz - Spinas/Val Bever It is this tranquillity that turns this easy hike into a great experience: from the Hotel Castell, the trail first leads to Madulain. The trail then follows the river to Bever. From Bever, the trail runs along the Beverinbach stream to Spinas, sometimes over snow-covered plains, sometimes through enchanting forests. The leisurely hike is accompanied by the RhB, which meanders leisurely along the Albula line down to Bever. After arriving in Spinas, the RhB takes you back to Celerina. ATTENTION - there are direct connections (14 minutes journey time) at 14:38 from or 17.38 hrs from Spinas. In between there is a connection at 3.22 pm with a change in Preda (journey time 30 minutes). Welcome back to the Hotel Cresta Palace Hotel in Celerina.
